Tom Schilreff
Thomas Schilreff is an educator with Financial Education Partnership, one of the largest and fastest growing 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the country.
Thomas grew-up in a family of entrepreneurs. As a youngster, he was privy to negotiations with employees and unions, and tracking the logistics of a large trucking company. Because of his background, he is highly focused on the ‘journey’ rather than the ‘destination’. His education and his profession have been the journey to wealth, financial planning.
Tom recognized early that many people were focused on the destination of wealth, paying much less attention to planning for wealth and their legacy. Estate planning avoids excessive taxation, medical expenses in retirement, and running out of money, the number one fear of retirees.
Through the Foundation, Thomas brings financial literacy to the public, the education and efficacy of estate planning.
Tom and Nancy are married, with two daughters, living in Dallas and Key West. They have five grandchildren. Tom enjoys fishing with his son-in-law in the Keys, and attending SMU, UT, and Cowboy games with his son-in-law in Dallas. Tom earned his Investment Advisor Representative, Series 65, from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the North American Securities Administrators Association and he is a fully licensed Texas Life and Health Insurance agent and a proud alumnus of The University of Nebraska at Kearney.
