Nancy W Schilreff, PhD

Dr. Nancy W. Schilreff, PhD, is an educator with Financial Education Partnership, one of the largest and fastest growing 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the country.

Dr. Nancy was a Professor of Psychology for many years. In early 2003, her husband, Tom, invited her to join a financial planning meeting with a newly widowed, elderly lady.

You might remember the year, 2003, reeling from the after-effects of 911, the looming possibility of War in Iraq, and the subsequent turbulence of the markets. It was not unusual for clients to bring piles of unopened statements to financial meetings for review, and “Gracie” was no exception. Gently moving her pile of unopened statements toward Dr. Nancy, she asked, “Will you help me?” That was the pivotal moment that began to move Nancy’s professional studies and expertise to the Psychology of Finance.

Dr. Nancy’s work with the Foundation For Financial Education is to elevate financial awareness and promote self-assurance, and confidence in making informed financial decisions of lifetime income, investments, taxes, healthcare, estate, and legacy planning.

In addition to Dr. Nancy’s licenses in Education and Psychology, she earned her Investment Advisor Representative, Series 65, from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority and the North American Securities Administrators Association. She is a fully licensed as a Texas Life and Health Insurance agent and holds her BA, MA, and PhD from the University of Oklahoma.
