Daniel Shanahan is an educator with the Financial Education Partnership, one of the largest and fastest growing 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the country.
Dan is a founding member of his firm and brings over 20 years of experience in retail financial services to the Southeast. He started his firm to advance his vision of enabling families and growing businesses in financial education by providing the resources of a large advisory firm without the limitations and constraints that are common to traditional firms today. He believes the client of today deserves a more robust experience to help navigate the continually shifting sands of the financial services industry.
Dan is known for being a great leader and motivator with a proven record of success for spotting trends in the market and providing constant, relevant information to his clients. He has deep industry knowledgeable in cutting edge wealth management, insurance products, business planning, estate planning, comprehensive financial planning, retirement planning and alternative investments. His philosophy of “Protection First” is designed to build a strong foundation for his clients and then achieving vertical growth.
Outside of work, he is a family-man with four children and avid supporter and fundraiser of his wife’s work as the Director of the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill, a charity organization that provides homes, home-cooked meals and a place where fun and laughter can flourish for families, even in the hardest of times. He has a Bachelors degree from Marquette University. He enjoys golf, fishing and traveling with his family.
