Charisse Hurst

Charisse Hurst is a Volunteer Educator for the Financial Education Partnership, one of the largest and fastest growing 501(c) (3) nonprofits in the country.

Charisse believes that there is a lot more suffering in the world than there should be, and she can, and will do something about that. Her mission is to position her clients so that when they face a medical or financial crisis, they are prepared to handle it in the best way possible. She focuses on what can be controlled, so that her clients are prepared for what cannot.

Charisse has been in the insurance industry for 12 years. She started her journey educating seniors on Medicare. She soon noticed a need within the senior community that she serviced. Seniors needed help to stay in control of their money instead of giving it to the government, nursing homes, or hospitals. With the need firmly established, and her strong desire to fill the void, she changed the direction of her career path and never looked back. “The satisfaction of opening the eyes of so many seniors that never knew they had options like this, is so heartwarming” said Charisse.

She is a graduate of Louisiana State University and is dedicated to helping as many people as she can.
