Jeremy Nichelson

Jeremy Nichelson was born in Seward, Nebraska, as the fourth of five children to Dennis and the late Marilyn Nichelson. Early on, Jeremy demonstrated a strong inclination toward leadership, serving as Class President in the late 90s for his graduating class. He built on his passion for leadership and service to others by becoming an EMT and Firefighter and successfully climbed the ranks to Rescue Lieutenant in Utica, Nebraska. Jeremy then transitioned from being a ranking first responder to the telecommunications industry during the boom of the dot.com era. As he had always done, he excelled, working his way up the ranks at Sprint, Verizon, and AT&T. He could not have known it then, but the best was yet to come. On an incredibly cold day, he decided to call his best friend who had recently made the move from Nebraska to St. Augustine. She quickly convinced Jeremy to take another leap – by also moving to Florida. What happened next was truly history! Jeremy packed all his belongings in a U-Haul, sold his home, and headed for the Sunshine State. Given the name he had made for himself in the telecommunications industry, he was able to seamlessly continue his career with Radio Shack, another recognized name. Jeremy set unprecedented records through his leadership of multiple stores and was promptly promoted to District Manager. Radio Shack would go on to liquidate their stores, but Jeremy’s name recognition allowed him to move on with another large retailer for AT&T as their Regional Sales Manager. Again, he earned top honors. His stellar performance, professionalism, and ability to drive team and revenue success caught the attention of the then-CEO of American Telecommunications, a large T-Mobile dealer. Jeremy was quickly recruited to lead his sector in Florida, growing the business exponentially, month after month. He was then tapped to duplicate the same results across the nation and subsequently promoted to the position of Senior National Director of Sales and, soon after, VP of Sales. With Jeremy at the helm, the same T-Mobile dealer grew their network from 34 to 160 stores nationwide. After several years in the telecommunications arena, however, Jeremy kept coming back to what he considered his true calling: helping people. In 2021, Jeremy made the decision to part ways with the telecommunications industry and start his own business in service to that calling. He obtained his license as an insurance broker, quickly learned the ropes, and founded his own agency, Divine Protection Insurance. As with his former careers, Jeremy’s laser focus has helped him to become an expert in all facets of the insurance world, including lifeinsurance, health insurance (Obamacare, dental, vision, hearing, etc.), Medicare, and retirement planning. He focuses on each client’s individual needs and finds the policy that best suits them and their
family. Although Divine Protection Insurance was established in Florida, Jeremy and his team are now able to assist clients across all 50 states. He works directly with more than 40 A-rated carriers allowinghim to find the best possible option(s) for each of his clients. His dedication to serving his clients’ best interests is unwavering, and he prides himself on being dependable and sincere. Jeremy helps his clients prepare for the unexpected.
As a result of Jeremy’s business expertise, he was accepted within BNI Masters Miami, a professional networking group and is currently serving a second term as their President.
Jeremy also has a wonderfully supportive partner of 17 years and is a devoted fur father to three beautiful dogs.
