Cynthia Chapman

Cynthia D. Chapman is an Educator with Financial Education Partnership, one of the largest and fastest growing financial education 501(c)(3) nonprofits in the country.

Cynthia has provided business development and marketing support services to businesses and nonprofit organizations throughout her career. But it was a compelling desire to help her clients protect their families that propelled her to specialize in financial literacy and products that provide tax-free retirement.

Cynthia’s career in financial services began 25 years ago when she joined what was then NationsBank and is now Bank of America. As a Sr. Vice President with the bank, she managed implementation of strategic marketing plans for several lines of business including e-Commerce Marketing, Multicultural Marketing and Associate Banking. Today, she leverages her banking experience to assist her clients as they navigate through job changes, divorces, births and deaths to ensure that their insurance strategy and financial plans continue to meet their changing needs.

The North Carolina native is a two time graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a James M. Johnston undergraduate scholar and a Consortium for Graduate Studies in Management Scholar. With the latter she earned a Masters degree in Business Administration. She is a frequent lecturer, trainer and speaker on insurance, business development, and retirement planning topics.

A long-time supporter of the YWCA and various youth programs, Cynthia served as First Vice President of the Greensboro YWCA Board of Directors where she served for numerous years. She also chaired The Human Race, an annual United Way fundraising event, and served as a teen mentor. Cynthia and her husband Willie are active members of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church and recently celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary. They are also the proud parents of an 11th grade honor student named Katrina.
