Greg Stevens an Educator with the Financial Education Partnership (FEP), one of the largest fastest growing financial education 501(c) (3) nonprofits in the country.
Greg is a native Texan, born in Houston. He moved to Austin in 1986 and eventually graduated from University of Texas with a B.S. in Radio/TV/Film. He’s an avid mountain biker who rides for a local bike shop in Austin, leads group rides around all kinds of trails, and travels often to ride at many trail systems around Texas. Mountain biking is in his blood!
Born in 1966, 40 years later, he took up Olympic style Taekwondo. He achieved the level of Second Degree Black Belt and the title of Kyosa, which means ‘teacher’ in Korean. Since retired from Taekwondo, he solves problems using the mindset of a black belt. Total dedication and commitment to his clients. He’s been a mentor with Seedling Foundation for several years now. Seedling is a non-profit that matches up adult mentors with kids who have one (or both) parents who are incarcerated. It’s a very rewarding endeavor! He’s on staff at Circuit of the Americas as a Lead Marshal, passionate motorsports/racing fan, car guy, founding President of the S2000 Club of America. Long time Formula 1 and MotoGP fan.
He pursued a career in technology services and became a Certified Project Manager in the 1990s, handling multi-million dollars technology projects for companies like McDonald’s, Waste Management, Pepsi, Chicago Title, Allstate and others. In the early 2000s, he decided that a career move would serve his goals well. He obtained his Series 7, Series 66 and insurance license in 2003.
Over the years, Greg has worked with many pension systems in Texas including TRS, ERS, TMRS and others. He’s got deep knowledge of how these systems work, what their shortfalls are and how to get the most out of them.
